what not to wear

Through the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season I have not forgotten about literary theory. I have been keeping my eyes open and there are a couple of things that have caught my attention. I don’t watch T.V all that often, however, did watch “what not to wear” the other evening. The entire show is based on revealing your identity through one’s clothing. Upon the arrival of the experts, they immediately ask the victims to show them their closets and choose the clothing that best represents them as an individual. This made me think of the class where we briefly discussed how clothing can represent a person’s identity. Going through my closest the other day I did find that the majority of my clothing is a great representation of myself. From my Ed Hardy hats (for teaching my hip hop classes) to my high heels (for a night out) these things can tell someone a lot about my personality. With this said, through the clothing that I choose to wear people can better understand me as an individual.
